While the paper is a significant part of your grade, it also is the opportunity for you to reflect over your semester and identify what was most significant for you and your leadership moving forward. This end of the semester assignment asks you to revisit and prioritize the experiences you’ve engaged in here to answer the question, “what are you leaving with?”

Assignment Narrative:

The purpose of this assignment is to reflect on the readings, activities, group work, and interactions that have influenced your learning in this course. This provides one last reflection and synthesis of important concepts discussed in our course together. You will write a 4-5-page paper that incorporates the following:

What were the memorable moments If someone asked you about this class several years from now, what are two meaningful experiences that you would tell them about (discussions, assignments, activities, etc.)? Why were these meaningful for you? (This should be about .75 – 1.5 pages)

What are you carrying forward? If we stick with the “Journey” theme – what do you think you are carrying with you in the following contexts?

• Of all the readings we did – which one do you think you learned the most from and how do you think you will use it in the future?
• (This should be about 1 – 1.5 pages)

How are you defining leadership? You shared your definition in your First Reveal video. How, if at all, has it changed?

• Retype in your original definition of leadership.
• Then give your new definition of leadership.
• How and why has it evolved?
• (This should be about .5 – 1 page)

What do you see when you look into the future? – You are about to take a new direction when leaving here.

• How might you use what you have learned here? How do you see Leadership showing up in your future life?
• Have you already changed a bit? How are your friends and family seeing you differently as a result of your participation in this course?
• Have you identified what might be your “edge” or “big thing” that you will need to work on in order to become more powerful or impactful in your world?
• (This should be about 1 – 1.5 pages)

Clarity & Cohesion:This paper has a limit of 5-pages (double spaced, 12-pt font). You should not need to go over this page limit, while still being able to provide adequate depth and reflection.
