After reading “Fundamentals of Research” select a topic broadly related to computer science, information systems, or cybersecurity about which you might like to learn more. This can be related to a previous course that you took, related to responsibilities in your present job or a particular problem that you are facing, or it might just be something you have always wanted to learn more about but haven’t taken the time to research it. The topic cannot be too broad, like “Python”, nor does it need to be super-specific. Aim for a middle ground. Perhaps something like, “How does Python handle loop conditions compared to C++?” (Note I just completely made that up; I’m not suggesting it is a particularly interesting topic.) In addition to the topic statement, briefly describe why it is interesting to you – or any particular context that is of interest. This should be about a paragraph long.
