One paragraph. Please post your critical comments and insights/opinion about this chapter. Reply to one student
Note the term stare decisis [pronounced starry de-cy-sis] which means to rule and judge using legal precedent. When people use the term “settled law” [as in Roe v. Wade from 1973 or Brown v. Board from 1954] they are invoking the notion of stare decisis.
The chapter provides a brief summary and history of judges . . .
And as if this chapter could not be more timely nor relevant as the newest member of the Supreme Court has just been sworn in, to much controversy, btw.
