1. As a primary care provider working in an underprivileged free clinic, you realize there are some challenges and barriers in your patient population. You are seeing a 14-year-old boy for complaints of academic difficulties at school. The teen is very quiet in the exam room and will not make eye contact with you. The mother reports that he is running the streets and refuses to come home several nights per week. What are your concerns? What education will you provide to this teen and his mother? What additional information will you obtain from the teen?
2. You have just finished seeing a 16-year-old girl for test of cure follow up after gonorrhea and chlamydia treatment. The cultures you obtained indicate recurrent infection with chlamydia. How will you approach this situation? What are your plans for treatment and education?
